History
The moniker of the Jack O'Lantern has been used by several criminals. These include the mercenary Jason Macendale Jr., the second Hobgoblin, and Steve Levins, a member of the Red Skull's Skeleton Crew. Daniel Berkhart, an ally of Mysterio, also took up the mantle, as did Maguire Beck, Mysterio's cousin. A man known only as "Jack" took up the mantle in service of the Crime-Master and tracked down any remaining wielders to kill them. Though weapons and abilities vary between Jack-O'Lanterns, common weapons include pumpkin bomb- scythes, and a sticky film-like substance that wraps a victim in fibers. Many members have supernatural powers, as several Jack-O Lanterns have been resurrected from the dead or empowered by demonic entities. Though mostly associated with Spider-Man, Jack-O Lanterns have targeted Captain America, Venom, and Ghost Rider.
Personality
There are a lot of villains who've gone by Jack-O Lantern, but your players are unlikely to care which is which. They want the aesthetic and powers, and this sheet represents an amalgamation of the various people who've used the name. He can zoom around the field throwing grenades and either blasting or slashing his foes. In many ways he's a scaled down Green Goblin, though he packs some edged weapons and webbing powers. The Hellfire blasts might catch players off guard, especially when combined with his combat trickery. His webbing might also surprise them, representing either tricky gadgets or demonic binding powers, letting Jack slow down enemies for his friends to gang up on.
